AFTER CHOOSING A DESIGN OF MY CHOICE, HOW DO I PURCHASE FROM YOU? DO YOU HAVE AN OFFICE WHERE I CAN MEET YOU? HOW CAN I PAY THE PACKAGE?

After selecting a design of your choice and ascertaining that all the details and specifications are in accordance to your requirements; payments can be done through direct bank deposit/transfer, PayPal, Credit Card through PayPal and Mobile money transfers (i.e MTN Mobile money, Airtel money and M-pesa).

Online payments are done through PayPal and Credit Card through PayPal by following a simple checkout procedure. If you want to make a payment using mobile money or by direct bank deposit/transfer, please contact us through our email (info@terndesigns.com) or Whatsapp us on +256773743251 with the plan ID you have chosen, then we will create an invoice for you to make final payments.

We also have a physical office in Kampala, Uganda located at plot 37/39, William Street, Equatorial Mall, Office suite 662. Here all purchases can be done physically by cash and also drawings delivered on print.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS AND STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS? WHAT SCENARIOS DO I NEED EACH OF THEM?

Architectural Drawings is set of drawings of a construction project consisting of plan layouts, sections, elevations, ceiling and roof heights, window and door schedules, block plans, site location plans, materials, all necessary details, etc.  This set of drawings is required before any building construction commences and it’s a requirement in most countries in order to obtain a construction permit. This set of drawings is done by an Architect and needed for any kind of building.

Structural Drawings is a set of drawings of a construction project consisting of foundation layout and details, floor layout plans, floor slab reinforcement plans, roof layout and details, beam and column details, slab details, staircase plan, section and details, etc. All storeyed buildings with 2 and more storeys cannot be constructed without this set of drawings. It is also a requirement in most countries in order to obtain a construction permit and also get your plans approved.  For buildings, this set of drawings follows the architectural drawings set, it cannot be done unless the architectural drawings are done first. Structural drawings are done by Structural Engineers.

WHAT IF I NEED A CUSTOMISED PLAN OR A PLAN OF MY OWN SPECIFICATIONS?

We do  customize our available plans and also do plans from a client’s own details and specifications.

This is a simple procedure of how this is done; the client contacts us through our email info@terndesigns.com, call/whatsapp us on +256773743251 or visits us at our office with all the necessary specifications he/she wishes to have in his/her own project. Our experts review the given information and let you know of our charges. Design starts after payment of 50% commitment fee out of the agreed charges. Drafts are shared with the client, after which the client gives his/her comments. These comments are addressed till when the client get what he/she likes. Finally the client gives us a go ahead to prepare final drawings, which he/she receives after payment of the remaining balance.

For Clients within Uganda and East Africa, we do site visits. The site visit fee is agreed upon with the client. We encourage clients to consider site visits by the required professionals before project design starts because there is a lot of useful information ascertained from these visits.

HOW LONG WILL I TAKE TO RECEIVE MY DRAWINGS?

Depending on the size, complexity of the project and unforeseen circumstances; normally for small projects, Architectural drawings take us between 3-7 working days and Structural drawings take us 5-8 working days.

For complex and big projects, this time will be agreed upon with the client.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR DRAWING SETS?

(a) ARCHITECTURAL DRAWING SET

This includes:

- Floor plans and details

- Roof plan and details

- Elevations

- Sections

- Door and window schedules

- Septic tank and soak pit details

- Other necessary details

For customized plans and only when the client has provided his/her plot details, the following is also included:

- Block plans

- Site location plans

- Boundary wall details

Mechanical and Electrical drawings are provided on client’s request

(b) STRUCTURAL DRAWING SET

This includes:

- Foundation layout and details

 - Floor layout plans

- Floor slab reinforcement plans

- Roof layout and details

- Beam and Column details

- Slab details

- Staircase plan, section and details

- Other relevant structural drawings

Structural analysis and design is done as according to Eurocode standards and design reports are provided on client’s request.
